Bluegrass Female Vocalist Of The Year Will Headline At Long Beach Bluegrass Festival On March 28, 29 and 30, 2008 On Washington’s Long Beach Peninsula |

February 26, 2008 Nashville’s Dale Ann Bradley, named 2007 female vocalist of the year by the International Bluegrass Music Association, will headline a respectable lineup of ten sought-out bands at the 2008 Long Beach Bluegrass Festival, slated for March 28, 29 and 30 on the Long Beach Peninsula. Beginning with the ever-popular open microphone session (where amateurs are invited to join in on stage with professional bluegrass musicians), a total of 25 performances will take place simultaneously in two venues at the Chautauqua Lodge (304 NW 14th St., Long Beach, WA 98631). Workshops, band scrambles, and a free gospel service on Sunday at 11AM will round out the festival. Bands performing on Friday on the hour, starting at 4PM, will include Small Towne, followed by Black River, Lee Highway, Prairie Flyer, Cascade Mountain Boys, Buckhorn Mountain Boys, Fern Hill, and Three Generations. Dale Ann Bradley will perform twice on Saturday, at 7PM and again at 9PM. Tickets are $15 for Friday and $20 for Saturday. Admission to Sunday’s performances is free.
