Don Frank specializes in architectural and event photography. His favorite projects have resulted in innovative photographs depicting elements of style and design. He specifically excels at communicating form, color, and mood. Don has been hired by architects, hotels, and retail establishments throughout the United States. Events such as weddings offer exceptional opportunities to capture the often unpredictable effects of light, movement, and celebration. Don Frank Photography Larry Kellis' interest in photography began at the age of 17, capturing on film the experiences of his travels world wide. To perfect his techniques he attended the finest photography schools and workshops. Today, he is often called upon to judge international competitions. After 30 years of photographing the beauty of the Mojave Desert with its majestic sunsets and sunrises, he has turned his attention to the Pacific Northwest. Michael Parker is a photographer working from Oysterville, Washington. His photographs are included in the permanent collections of the Seattle Art Museum and the North Dakota Museum of Art. Bruce Wade Peterson Originally from New England, Bruce attended the University of New Hampshire before touring and photographing extensively in both Europe and the United States. A move to the southwest in 1979 began a 25 year career in corporate and advertising photography. While exploring and photographing in Washington state he fell in love with the area and decided to settle on the Peninsula. “I have always been captivated by the Pacific Northwest and decided to move here permanently to create photographs that visually stimulate me. Sayce Born in Ilwaco, Jim is a passionate student of life, living and working all over the Pacific coast. Returning home to the Peninsula in 1983, Jim enjoys walking on the beach, canoeing in the Willapa and lower Columbia, and travel. He credits Eagle Scoutmaster Herman Eberhardt for his love of the Pacific Northwest Outdoors and remembers fondly working in the oyster industry and as cranberry farmer, amongst other opportunities available locally. Jon Schmidt is an Interpretive Specialist for the Long Beach Area State Parks where he enjoys sharing the region's rich history and culture with visitors and locals alike. Born and raised in the "corn and soybean country" of Minnesota, his appreciation for the coast is without bounds. You can often find him at the Lewis and Clark Interpretive Center, staring out over the Columbia River Bar at sunset, waiting for the next green flash. Christopher Spence, a Florida native, has relocated his photography studio from SOUTH BEACH to LONG BEACH. He has been visiting the Peninsula for over 20 years since his honeymoon with Seattle graphic designer Susan Spence. Together they operate SPENCE PHOTOGRAPHY & DESIGN. Chris and Susan have traveled extensively and lived overseas where he managed Custom Color Photo Labs that specialize in large format photographs. Roy Western lives in Ocean Park, Washington and has been taking photographs around the Long Beach Peninsula for a number of years. He enjoys landscape and nature photography. The Peninsula and surrounding areas offer an abundance of both. From time to time, you'll see one of Roy's images published in the Chinook Observer. Roy holds, "The reward in photography is being able to share them with the other folks who live in and around the Peninsula and our great local paper has helped me to do that". While studying photography at Portland State University, the computer bug hit her, prompting a transfer to Oregon Polytech where she completed her studies in Graphic Design. For nearly two decades she has been working as a Photographer/Graphic Artist. Literally “Hell and High Water” led her to the Peninsula, where she feels she has done her best work. “The peninsula itself is so creative and inspiring!” Char and her daughter Annika have lived near Ocean Park for four years enjoying the natural beauty, the quiet, and the abundance of wildlife.
